Natasha Trehan is a grade 12 student enrolled in the Unionville High School Vocal Program interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. She is currently a Teen Auto-inflammatory Group (TAG) Chapter Leader for Toronto and a Patient Partner Advisor, working alongside researchers across Ontario in various studies. Natasha has also used her passion for music to create a positive influence and change in people’s lives. In school, she is the Vocal Director for her school’s Show Choir Canada team. Previously, she was a Chair of Markham Idol – a singing competition for youth, and is a Level 9 Royal Conservatory of Music vocalist, performing for both charity and public events. Natasha is extremely excited to be this year’s OMS’ president and is looking forward to a fantastic conference and a year full of events!
|Bilal is a grade 12 International Baccalaureate student at Erindale Secondary School. He’s passionate about genomics and the applications of biomedical sciences. He has competed in University of Toronto research competitions and co-created a digital health monitoring project that was part of the DMZ start-up incubator. At school, Bilal is the Vice President of DECA and co-found the school’s first Relay for Life chapter. Bilal has an interest in the financial markets and enjoys a game of cricket.|
|Rahul Vivekanandan is a grade 12 student at Unionville High School, enrolled in the vocal music program. Rahul is very interested in health sciences and has always wanted to contribute to the biomedical field. In the future, he wants to become a pediatric surgeon. In addition to his work in OMS Toronto, Rahul is also a music scholar at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and a member of DECA Unionville. He loves to play the piano, watch anime, and korean dramas. Rahul hopes to travel the world to study and learn about different cultures.|
|Jin Schofield is a grade 11 International Baccalaureate student at St. Robert Catholic High School. She intends to pursue medicine and clinical research in the future! Currently, she participates in many extracurriculars including robotics, debate, HOSA, and Student Council. Jin’s hobbies include biking, reading, and creative writing! She is very excited to make this year’s OMS events the best yet!|
|Sarvnaz is a grade 11 student at the International Baccalaureate program at St. Robert Catholic High School. She hopes to pursue a degree in an engineering field with a high focus on healthcare and biology. At school, she participates in various clubs such as St. Roberts Debate Society, Ryerson Rams Robotics, and more. In her free time, Sarvnaz likes to read about history and bake for her friends and family. Sarvnaz is excited for the new initiatives OMS will be implementing this year!|

|Brianne Chou is a grade 12 student at the Bishop Strachan School and she is interested in pursuing a career in the medicine field. At school, she is the Co-Head of Senior Band, an ambassador, and a member of Grad Council and Asian Student Union. Brianne enjoys going to the gym, travelling and baking. She is thrilled to be a part of the OMS Executive Team and she can’t wait to organize events and engage with participants.|
|Alisha Syed is currently a grade 10 student at St. Francis Xavier Secondary School in the International Baccalaureate program. She is new to the OMS team this year and is excited to expand her networks and work in a team of like-minded individuals. Alisha aspires to have a career in the medical field and is interested in the study of psychiatry. At school, she is involved in the Aspiring Young Doctors club, as well as DECA Xavier. She enjoys travelling and loves to document her experiences through photographs. Her interests also include graphic designing and baking.|
Pratyus Swain is a grade 11 student at A. Y. Jackson Secondary School. At school, he is the founder and president of the TEDx event and is involved in the DECA chapter. In the future, he is interested in pursuing a career in medicine or in the biotechnology field. Pratyus enjoys movies, sports, and travelling. He is ecstatic to be a part of the OMS Executive Team this year and looks forward to the turnout!
|Rahul Vij is a grade 11 International Baccalaureate student at Harold M. Brathwaite Secondary School. He aspires to pursue a career in medicine, specifically in pathology. At school, he is involved in various clubs such as HSC, Link Crew Leader, etc. In his free time, he enjoys staying active, travelling and photography. He is excited to be a part of the Operation Med School Team this year and looks forward to the new events that we will be facilitating!|
